About the Practice

The idea of a design studio that embraces daily and seasonal change germinated in 1997 when Mr. Levitt graduated from Yale and started his practice in Tokyo while working with Pritzker Prize laureate Fumihiko Maki.  Inspired by the Japanese concept of “kisetsu-kan,” we set out to embrace temporal change through the integration of serene aesthetics with technical performance to create spaces that are deeply connected to the environment.
